Hosted by Dr. Peter E. Thompson, Ph.D, these four very distinct short films from Spain demonstrate the excellence in queer cinema in Spain. This screening is an 18+ event and viewer discretion is advised.

A young woman determines she will perish from her sickness when the last leaf falls from the ivy vine outside her window.  Iguales? (Equals?) dir. Javier de La Torre2008 / Spain / 15 min Adela isn't the girl from a romantic comedy. Hassen isn’t the gallant hero of an adventure film. Jose Martret2008 / Spain / 25 min Coral is a transsexual who has been working as a prostitute in Madrid for 20 years. David arrives one night from their hometown with the dream of becoming a woman. He instantly brings out Coral’s motherly instincts and she tries to protect him at all costs so that he doesn’t make the same mistakes she made that have marked her for life.
