REELOUT 12 PROGRAMMES

Saucy Saturday Night: Different Strokes and Sexy Folks

Bringing new meaning to DIY Do it yourself filmmaking, Reelout presents a series of short works that zoom in on the most intimate moments of the films' subject or the artist as subject. Is a film that explicitly documents a lone subject masturbating considered queer aesthetic if the audience isn't privy to the sexuality of the subject? Mundane and tedious, funny and hot- this short program is bound to make for terrific post-show dialogue. This program will feature a musical introduction by the oh-so-sexy and oh-so-saucy High Voltage Burlesque including Faryn Fireball, Miss Mae Oh My, Miss Lacey Knickers and a special guest panel of Canadian film and video artists including Liliana Velez Jaramillo, Carla Coma, Morgan Sea, Alexis Mitchell and Mark Pariselli discussing sex-positive messages in the queer film aesthetic.

Saturday, January 29th   7pm  •  Ellis Auditorium
