A Four Letter Word
Casper Andreas/87min/USA/2007

If it’s bare-chested, sex-shop workin’, homo-lovin’, buff-boy humpin’ hotties you’re looking for, we may just have the feature for you.

Meet Luke, a hunky sex-shop worker by day, and playboy by night, who is prone to backroom hookups and terrified of commitment. Deemed a “gay cliché” by the serious macho man, Stephen (Vancouver ex-pat Charlie David), Luke begins to wonder if there’s more to life than casual sex and spinning class. When they eventually hook up Luke realizes he may have met his match, as he and Stephen begin a tentative relationship that begins to inch closer and closer to…love? But things get complicated when Luke’s co-worker Zeke finds Stephen’s profile on callboy.com. Is it love? Or just another four letter word?

Full of razor-sharp one-liners and plenty of eye candy, director Casper Andreas delivers the goods in this witty, sexy crowd-pleaser. With the help of an adorable and idiosyncratic supporting cast, the film ultimately concludes that being true to yourself may be the best way to deal with the many complications of A Four Letter Word called love.
