DESCRIPTION:In honour of our 20 years we asked memorable\, former Reelout guest and media artist Dayna McLeod to choose 20 minutes of her work to screen for an audience followed by a 20 minute\, moderated discussion and questions from the audience. We’re calling it 20/20 Visionaries and we hope you’ll spend the early part of your day spending an intimate time with an independent\, Canadian media artist! \nThe Artist: Dayna McLeod \nI am a Montréal performance-based artist. My work uses humour\, and capitalizes on exploiting the body’s social and material conditions using cabaret\, duration\, single channel video\, and installation practices. My interests of artistic and theoretical research are in sexual identity construction\, gender\, feminism\, anti-feminist backlash\, homophobia\, and media representations of sexuality\, queer identity\, and the female body as public property. I am also interested in copyright/copyleft\, Fair Dealing and Fair Use\, and their implications on media production and remix culture. I often use remix techniques and strategies to queer and otherwise mashup mainstream media culture. They currently teach an Open Improv Jam Workshop Tuesday evenings at Cafe Church. DESCRIPTION:Most certainly a memorable moment in Reelout’s 20-year history was a screening of short films followed by a session of restorative yoga led by theatre artist and yoga instructor Michelle Girouard.  We are pleased to offer a variation on this event five years later with Michelle only this time she will act as a visualization guide for our audiences to support relaxation right in your theatre chair.  This event is perfect for audiences who are feeling stressed/bummed out. Beyond the fun of studies\, her children\, her chosen family and her garden fill up her with tons of love.
