The Reelout Queer Film + Video Festival is a ten day cultural festival that celebrates the diversity of sexual and gender diversity through the exhibition of films from around the globe. Now in our 27th year, REELOUT has distinguished its reputation as a world-class champion of queer, independent cinema and the artists who create them. ReelOut is the Second Largest Film festival of its Kind in Ontario
The appetite for independent films continues to grow in Kingston. REELOUT attracts a diverse and vibrant audience including:
- The 2SLGBTQIA+ (queer) community.
- Film enthusiasts from the larger community.
- Students from local High Schools
- Students from local post secondary schools; Queen’s University, St Lawrence College and the Royal Military College.
- Media Artists and various other members of Kingston’s artistic community.
Marketing and Advertising at ReelOut
Our continued marketing strategy emphasizes target audience attraction and social networking. In addition:
- PSAs, ticket giveaways, guest appearances on CFRC FM radio
- Complimentary tickets to community members who have financial barriers within Kingston
