Reelout Welcomes New Board Directors

The Reelout Arts Project Inc. bid a fond farewell to a couple of beloved board directors at July’s Annual General Meeting and welcomed three new dynamic individuals to join our already fantastic board.  We wish all the best to Yve Patrimoine, Yasmine Djerbal and Peter Thompson in their future endeavours and thank you for your years of service!

Sylvia

We’re pleased to introduce Sylvia Grills as our new Treasurer.  Sylvia is currently a PhD Student and OGS Scholar in the Sociology Department at Queen’s University.  As a volunteer she has spent many years involved with community theatre.  Sylvia is studying how pansexuality is socially produced, signified, and understood.

pierre-luc

We’re also pleased to welcome Pierre-Luc Landry to the board. Pierre-Luc is a dedicated activist, author and professor of literature studies at the Royal Military College of Canada. Our board chair Aara Macauley now faces competition for FIERCEST hair on Reelout’s board of directors.

And last but not least, we welcome Carson Contreras Galaviz to our board of directors.  Carson is a human service professional with a passion and understanding for the roles of structures and the impact of systems and policy in organizational, health and human services.  He is a semi-recent transplant from Vancouver where he was an enthusiastic supporter of Vancouver’s queer film festival.

They join current/returning board chair Aara Macauley, secretary Terrie Easter Sheen, and board directors Gary Cork, Nancy Butler, Reena Kukreja, and Brea Hutchinson.
